What we do...

Our goal at Francis Field has always been to keep
this unique historic "green space" preserved for the youth of Will County and their families.
The property was donated in the 1950s to be used as the center of Will County's 4-H program. Although 4-H no longer operates out of the facility, FFYF keeps the tradition alive through our numerous events and fundraisers. We take pride in awarding college scholarships to deserving youth that have donated time to the facility over the years. (go to the 'Event Downloads and Information' page to get more info about eligibility and to download an application.)
The agricultural roots of Will County are still alive here at Francis Field.
Many horse shows, dog training classes, dog shows, and youth events are held in the riding arena, barns and field house. The Francis Field grounds and fieldhouse are perfect for community and family use. We always strive to support not-for-profit groups and try to make the facility available for them whenever possible.
Many clubs also utilize our facility for football, lacrosse, dance classes, and scouting events.
We have various events and exhibitions open to the public at all times of the year .
